Regarding your 1-Day-Tour into the Huangshan Yellow Mountains, we have a few questions:

1. Do you think it will be feasible for us to take the first train from Hangzhou arriving in Huangshan North by 9:30am, participate in your tour and make it back to Huangshan station by 8:00pm, such that we'd still catch the last train to Hangzhou? Would that be a reasonable schedule for a weekday in mid-October?

2. How difficult is the mountain to hike? We are two Europeans of ordinary fitness but without a lot of hiking exercise.

I highly recommend the Hangzhou Day Trip from Shanghai by bullet train. For starters, taking the bullet train was half the fun, watching the countryside flash by at high speeds and allowing for more time in Hangzhou. Highlights of the trip were viewing the lovely tea fields and tea tasting outside of town, visiting the magnificent Lingyin Temple and walking along the famous and beautiful West Lake at sunset. As a private tour, I was able to customize to trip to fit my timing and interests so we were able to spend more time at the temple. Finally, Sharon was a terrific guide and super fun to talk to, giving me the background on the many sites in Hangzhou and also giving me a sense of daily life and culture in China. The tour was one of the highlights of my trip to China.

We had a brilliant day with Sharon visiting Hangzhou from Shanghai. Our journey started being picked up at our hotel in Shanghai by our driver for a quick trip to the train station. After a fast 1hr on the bullet train we arrived in Hangzhou where we were all collected by a local driver and tour guide Sharon. We headed up to "tea mountain" a beautiful location where the local 'dragon well' tea is planted. Afterwards he had lunch at a very tasty local farmer's restaurant and continued our planned excursion to a temple and the lake and really enjoyed the rest of the day.

We highly recommend this trip and Shaon was a great guide. We have found that the private tours give a real "friend" experience. All the staffs working on this tour for us were friendly, professional and well prepared. We would not hesitate to use this firm again.

We had a wonderful time and we were very happy that we booked our Hangzhou tour with Hangzhou Private Tour. Our driver Mr Zhang picked us up at our hotel lobby and drove us to the Shanghai train station for our train to Hangzhou. 50 minutes later, we arrived in Hangzhou east train station and met our guide Sharon. She is very efficient and attentive as she has gotten our tour details in advance and double confirmed it with us. When we arrived in Hangzhou, she brought us to our first stop to have breakfast at a local restaurant which was super sumptuous! Sharon is highly informative as she will share with us the history behind the temples and the West lake. The lunch at a local tea farmer's house was the best meal we had in China. Visiting the farmer's homes and meeting the different locals was a wonderful addition to the trip. We were very happy with the wide variety of experiences. I would definitely highly recommend to use Sharon as your guide when you visit Hangzhou! She has made our first trip to Hangzhou memorable.

I'm writing to express our special thanks to our guide Sharon in Hangzhou. The trip was very well organised and Sharon looked after our needs so we'll. She was a joy to be with and we had so much fun with her. It was like touring Hangzhou with friend. She planned the trip with us and her organisation of transport tickets and tourist spot visits was very well handled. The bullet train ride from Shanghai to Hangzhou,visit to tea plantation, lunch at the plantation, visit to Lingying Temple and the boat trip on West Lake were amazing. Everything during the booking process worked perfect and fine, absolutely no reason for a complaint. The round way train tickets from Shanghai to hangzhou and back were arranged promptly by Hangzhou Private Tour. Nancy was our guide for the day - she promptly picked us up from the train station and had a comfortable car with great A/C the whole day with us. Driver was friendly too! She had maximum flexibility to what we liked and gave us many options of eating first or going to sites first. She is very knowledgeable in history and culture and its not just about the attractions but she was also able to relate to modern day culture and how we drew inspiration from these amazing historical sites. The best part is that she is really friendly and full of energy - we felt that we were going out with a long time friend that we havent' see in a while! I strongly reccomend anyone who is looking to discover the local side of Hangzhou (p.s. she has really good taste in food too!)

Hangzhou Private Tour provides an outstanding service for the cost. They were not only very good at working with us to develop a personalized itinerary, but were also extremely professional and flexible in making significant changes on the tour. I was worried whether this would be like all the other tours I had where the tour guide would talk at us for the whole day and drag us to touristy sites with expensive souvenirs. Yet Hangzhou Private Tour Company has completely changed my view, and for that reason I have decided to write my first ever review.

When on tour, our tour guide Bonnie was always very observant and patient and made sure we had a rest when my dad would get tired or would only point out the crucial and important highlights when she saw that our attention was drifting. I was very impressed by her caring nature and her constant positive energy which made her passion as a tour guide shine through and made our trip even more enjoyable. Boonie is outgoing, welcoming, courteous, engaging, quite knowlegeable and very patient. I was very impressed by her English skills; how hard it is to learn another language so well. And her knowledge of hangzhou was very good, and helpful.

We had a wonderful trip and thanks for the exceptional service at all times from start to finish. We will definitely visit Hangzhou again and it would be our great pleasure to use the service of Hangzhou Private Tour during our visit.

It was a great hangzhou tour experience with tour guide David. It was only a short day trip, but really unforgettable. The West Lake is just as beautiful as it has be introduced by my chinese friends before my arrival. I love the trees and flowers over the lake and in parks around there. It is just peaceful and beautifull. Our tour guide David did a good job with providing cultural and historical information, in my opinion. He gave us proactive briefings both on the van and during the visits of each site as well as answering our questions. Through his briefings, I learned many things about the history of Hangzhou and China that I didn't know before. He took me to the boat tour on the lake, which is a unique experience for me to explore the beauty of nature.
Hangzhou is a historical city. Although I dont have no much knowledge on the city history. But I could see from its old houses and streets.
I love the city and hope to come back again soon.
