My wife and I very much enjoyed our trip to Hangzhou from Shanghai. It was clear that it would not have been reasonable to attempt such an itinerary without the organization from Hangzhou Private Tour handling the complicated logistics. Our round way train tickets were booked and sent to our hotel on time by Hangzhou Private Tour. We were picked up at our hotel in Shanghai in the morning by our driver in Shanghai and drove to the Shanghai train station for the train to Hangzhou. Having both a local guide and driver allowed us to maximize the amount of time we had in Hangzhou. We really enjoyed the boat ride on westlake, Guo's villa and the tea plantation & Village. The lunch at a local farmer's house was SUPER! David is one of the best tour guides that I've ever met in China. He was very welcoming, patient, personable, professional, and thoughtful. He knew a lot of interesting historical and cultural facts about the many scenic sites we visited in Hangzhou. He also went above and beyond to help make our visit go as smoothly and comfortably as possible. I would definitely recommend him to all my friends visiting Hangzhou in the future.

My family and I have visited China twice, we booked the tour with few travel agencies and had a number of tour guides. Some were great and others were just okay. And this time, we had a great experience in Hangzhou with Hangzhou Private Tour (It could be the best experience we had so far in China). I appreciate how they have a pre-sales/trip planning person then a post-sales follow-up person that remains in touch throughout our tour. Sam was my sales person, and Bonnie was my follow-up contact, and both were outstanding in all respects. David was our tour guide in Hangzhou. His English was as if he had been speaking it his whole life. He captured and kept our attention throughout the whole day (a hard task to accomplish with a large range of ages from preteens, teens, and adults). He made us feel special and important. Our visit in Hangzhou was perfect. Our guide David and driver met our train in a private car and escorted us to the Westlake, the private garden close by the westlake, and my favorite tea plantation & village. The food at a local farmer's house was very good and plentiful. Beth Keck had recommended your service and I will let her know that the tour was very special. Thanks to David who was an excellent tour guide. He was very educated and knowledgeable about Hangzhou. He was a nice, friendly, and experienced guide. Regarding your 1-Day-Tour into the Huangshan Yellow Mountains, we have a few questions:

1. Do you think it will be feasible for us to take the first train from Hangzhou arriving in Huangshan North by 9:30am, participate in your tour and make it back to Huangshan station by 8:00pm, such that we'd still catch the last train to Hangzhou? Would that be a reasonable schedule for a weekday in mid-October?

2. How difficult is the mountain to hike? We are two Europeans of ordinary fitness but without a lot of hiking exercise.

I highly recommend the Hangzhou Day Trip from Shanghai by bullet train. For starters, taking the bullet train was half the fun, watching the countryside flash by at high speeds and allowing for more time in Hangzhou. Highlights of the trip were viewing the lovely tea fields and tea tasting outside of town, visiting the magnificent Lingyin Temple and walking along the famous and beautiful West Lake at sunset. As a private tour, I was able to customize to trip to fit my timing and interests so we were able to spend more time at the temple. Finally, Sharon was a terrific guide and super fun to talk to, giving me the background on the many sites in Hangzhou and also giving me a sense of daily life and culture in China. The tour was one of the highlights of my trip to China.

We had a brilliant day with Sharon visiting Hangzhou from Shanghai. Our journey started being picked up at our hotel in Shanghai by our driver for a quick trip to the train station. After a fast 1hr on the bullet train we arrived in Hangzhou where we were all collected by a local driver and tour guide Sharon. We headed up to "tea mountain" a beautiful location where the local 'dragon well' tea is planted. Afterwards he had lunch at a very tasty local farmer's restaurant and continued our planned excursion to a temple and the lake and really enjoyed the rest of the day.

We highly recommend this trip and Shaon was a great guide. We have found that the private tours give a real "friend" experience. All the staffs working on this tour for us were friendly, professional and well prepared. We would not hesitate to use this firm again.

We had a wonderful time and we were very happy that we booked our Hangzhou tour with Hangzhou Private Tour. Our driver Mr Zhang picked us up at our hotel lobby and drove us to the Shanghai train station for our train to Hangzhou. 50 minutes later, we arrived in Hangzhou east train station and met our guide Sharon. She is very efficient and attentive as she has gotten our tour details in advance and double confirmed it with us. When we arrived in Hangzhou, she brought us to our first stop to have breakfast at a local restaurant which was super sumptuous! Sharon is highly informative as she will share with us the history behind the temples and the West lake. The lunch at a local tea farmer's house was the best meal we had in China. Visiting the farmer's homes and meeting the different locals was a wonderful addition to the trip. We were very happy with the wide variety of experiences. I would definitely highly recommend to use Sharon as your guide when you visit Hangzhou! She has made our first trip to Hangzhou memorable.
