Our guide Jason met us at our hotel lobby ontime and drove to the Shanghai train station for our train to Hangzhou.Hangzhou is a city with a lot of charm, many green areas, ideal to escape one day from the skyscrapers of Shanghai. This was truly a wonderful trip to Hangzhou from Shanghai. Our guide David was amazing! Very knowledgeable and great fun. He adapted our day to our needs. We really enjoyed the fast train ride between Shanghai and Hangzhou. We cruised the beautiful lake, saw tea plantations and a magnificent temple. This tour takes you away from the hustle and bustle into different culture. Would thoroughly recommend it if you want to spend a day out of Shanghai.

Suggest to get the vip seats as your seats will be right in the middle. We got the non vip seats and were assigned seats all the way to the side. Your experience of the show will be more affected by rowdy tourists who turns on flash or records the whole show like its for live telecast (and turn on max brightness on their phone). Otherwise, the show was of high quality, good visuals and vibrant lightshow. Beautiful, wonderful. Having seen Zhang Yimou's impression series, everywhere we use different natural scenery, through the wonderful conception of lighting and stage, combined with the humanistic characteristics, we can arrange dances with magnificent momentum and charm. Strongly recommended! Ticketing booth and venue was pretty far away from the downtown. We booked the round way transfer with Hangzhou Private Tour since we heard that it's not east to get a taxi after the show. And it was right!!!

Absolutely stunning show! One of the best things I've seen in my life. I totally recommend it to anyone visiting Hangzhou. It's a must! The Hangzhou Private Tour voucher worked like a charm. Instructions were clear, the place was easy to locate. If I were a local, I would be very proud. It's a performance of natural scenery, lighting, music, dance and opera. It's amazing! We booked two VIP seats with Hangzhou Private Tour at the last minute. Everything was confirmed promptly. The show last only 45 mins but definitely a worth while experience. Ticket exchange is seamless and fast. Admission at 7pm and show start at 7:45pm. Price difference for normal tickets and vip is not much as worth the upgrade. beautiful dancing and lighting, beautiful famous songs, the stage set up on the West Lake. Only director Zhang Yimou can think of these ideas and make the beautiful scenery of the West Lake deeply popular. When you enjoy the feast of vision and hearing, do you remember Hangzhou most?

We toured Hangzhou with Bonnie for a business trip from Shanghai to Hangzhou. We only had one day and we wanted to see as much as possible. China Private Tour planned the day smoothly and managed to fit in so many interesting places and at the same time was very responsive to our moods and requests. Bonnie speaks excellent English and her knowledge is encyclopedic. The van was very comfortable with great air-conditioning which is really important. Bonnie knew exactly where to take us and how to avoid the crowds and the queues. We found his explanations fascinating and by the end of the day we wished that we had more time to spend in Hangzhou. We had a perfect 2 days touring West Lake and some other highlights in Hangzhou. We were so glad we took the advice from China Private Tour and spen two days in Hangzhou. We REALLY enjoyed the Impression Westlake Show in the evening. David was an excellent guide! Very professional and helpful. He was patient and handled everything very well. He kept us busy but never rushed through any of the sites we visited. His knowledge of the history kept us interested in everything we did. Our van was comfortable as well. Our round way train tickets were arranged properly by China Private Tour. Our guide David and driver Mr Zhang picked us up in a brand-new vehicle from the train station, and proceeded to take us on a private guided tour of Hangzhou. He is knowledgable, considerate, and very professional. We were delighted by the views of the West Lake in the mist, the Lingyin Temple Site was certainly one of the highlights of our trip -- Buddhas carved in the limestone landscape and caves complete with bats in relief. David used all of the travel-time and moments in between to continue painting a vivid portrait of the historical and cultural significance of Hangzhou -- we had the best meal we had in china at a local tea farmer's house, visited the tea plantations and brought the best green tea in China. I wish that we had planned to spend more time in the region - 2-3 days would have been ideal. Heaven and earth, Hangzhou is not to be missed! And i highly recommend China Private Tour and David.
