Entering Zhouzhuang water town, first attraction you will visit is the Zhouzhuang's Twin Bridges. Twin bridges is composed of Shide bridge and Yong'an bridge. It was built in Ming Dynasty. The two bridges are connected. It looks like the ancient key, also known as "key bridge". The special significance here is that through the reflection of the lake and the bridge itself, a standard circle is formed, which has its own characteristics. Chen Yifei, a famous oil painter in China, created a painting named "Memories of his Hometown" against the background of Twin bridges.
Later, you will visit the Zhouzhuang's Old Drama Stage. This huge stage often performs Kunqu Opera, one of the oldest forms of opera in China, as well as other traditional operas from the south of the Yangtze River.

After lunch, move on to the Zhang House and Shen House, two examples of Zhouzhuang's distinctive historical architecture. Shen House was the private property of the descendant of Shen Wansan, the first millionaire of Jiangnan (South of Yangtze River) in the early Ming Dynasty. The whole architectural complex is of the Qing's style and occupies an area of more than 2,000 square meters (half an acre). Zhang house is a stunning estate comprised of 70 rooms and six courtyards. It takes up about 1,800 square meters (less than half an acre).The residence dates back to the Ming dynasty. With Ruojing River flowing through, Zhang House is a dapper and graceful residential house; has a tranquil courtyard and pond. Deep halls all represent the life of the quondam owner.
Free on your own for a while and you will be transferred to the Suzhou railway station to catch your train to Hangzhou. You will be taken back to your hotel or where you live in Hangzhou once you arrived. Our service ends.
