Arrive in Guiyang airport, our guide will meet you at the exit of the airport with a welcome signage and drive you to your hotel, our guide will help you check-in and the rest of the day is on your own to explore the city.
At night, you could visit Hequn night market to try delicious street food or some restaurant as option.
Today your memorable tour starts! This morning, our guide will meet you at your hotel lobby. You will be driven to Anshun city(1.5hour). Then visit Yunfeng Tunpu Scenic Area, which consists of a museum and eight villages, namely the Tunbao Culture Museum, Ben zhai, Yunshan Tun, Lei Tun, Xiaoshan Zhai, Zhang Zhuang, Zhulin Zhai, Wu Tun, and Dongkou Zhai. The eight villages were once the shongholds of the Ming Dynasty in more than 600 years ago.
After lunch at a local Chinese restaurant, then continue your tour to Huangguoshu waterfalls, which is known as "the first waterfall in China", with the most impressive view, having a width of 81 meter and dropping 74 meter. A 134-meter-long curtain cave lies secretly behind the main fall.
After that, you will be transferred to your hotel in Guiyang.
In the morning, our guide will pick you up at the lobby of your hotel, and drive you to Kaili (2.5hours). You could have a rest after check-in.
In the afternoon, first, you will visit Qingman Miao village, which is built up to the mountain. There are over 300 households and 1,600 Miao people living there. Upon entering the village, you will see the cascading waving of stilt-houses in good order. The villagers still keep the traditional folk arts and crafts of Miao nationality, such as weavings, embroidery and batik.
Then you pay a visit to Shiqiao Miao village, which is a romantic retreat imbued with magical healing power. Blessed with idyllic landscape, mysterious Miao culture, inviting customs, colorful festivals as well as the over 1400-year-old paper making practice. Then we have a chance to see China Traditional Paper-making process.
At last, we will send you to your hotel in Kaili.
You will start your one day tour with a visit to Wanba Gejia village, where you could experience the Miao's special costumes and dress-up and enjoy the natural sceneries.
After lunch at the local people’s house, continue your tour to Shidong Piantou Miao village (2 hours by driving), the village accepts hundreds of visitors to join in famous Sisters' Meal Festival (always on April) every year. In the normal period, the village seems quiet but still remains lots of cultural things to discover.
Afterwards, drive you back to your hotel.
The first stop is to visit Langde Upper village, which is also known as the Miao's Ethnic Village Museum and will present visitors an authentic experience of Miao. As a very popular minority attraction, Langde Upper Village is both mysterious and exciting, featuring Miao style houses "Diaojiaolou".
Next, we will visit Xinqiao Miao village in Datang town, by fortune, we can see a row of girls dressed in mini-shirts dancing together to welcome outsides. Also we could learn different Miao customs in this village, and receive warm treatment from the hospitable Miao hosts.
Finally, we go to Rongjiang and our guide will help you check in, and you can explore nearby your hotel or have a rest.
In the morning, you will be driven to Zhaoxing Dong village of Liping county (2 hours), you will see another minority culture and customs—Dong Minority.
After lunch at a local Chinese restaurant, then continue your tour to Tang’an Dong village. The biggest living museum of Dong Minority is actually the whole Tang'an Dong village. Collection of the living museum consists of people living here and their events. The villagers’ daily use articles, production tools, as well as their clothing and ornament, even themselves are part of exhibits. To enjoy the splendid views of Tang'an Dong Village, there are several spots worth appreciating.
After that, you will hike from Tang’an to Shage Dong Village (3 hours), then back to Zhaoxing Dong Village.
At last, drive you back to your hotel.
After breakfast, you will visit local bazar. Different from Miao market, it offers lots of interesting things to see and buy.
Then you will pay a visit to the famous Basha Miao Village to visit so-called the Last Gunman Tribe. Through hundreds of years, they have been guarding their homeland. Still today the men in Basha preserve their musketeer heritage, which makes Basha the only tribe that can legally carry real guns in China. A strong sense of precaution inherited from their ancestors keeps this village isolated from the outside world. The villagers lead a self-sufficient life in the hilly areas and retain the dressing and living customs hundreds of years ago.
