From there, journey into the charm of the Old French Concession, an area renowned for its elegant blend of European and Chinese architectural styles. Strolling along tree-lined boulevards, you’ll pass stately mansions, Art Deco structures, and historic villas that whisper tales of Shanghai’s colonial past. Unearthed by local farmers in 1974, this extraordinary archaeological wonder stands as a testament to the grandeur of the Qin dynasty. More than 8,000 life-sized warriors, each meticulously crafted with distinct expressions, attire, and weaponry, remain steadfast in their silent watch over Emperor Qinshihuang’s tomb. These remarkable figures provide a compelling glimpse into ancient Chinese craftsmanship, military organization, and societal hierarchy. Every warrior’s pose, hairstyle, and facial features reveal their respective ranks, while the intricate detailing breathes life into their centuries-old existence. Walking through this site is more than just witnessing statues—it’s an immersive journey into a civilization whose influence still resonates today.
Midday in Xi’an offers a delightful introduction to the bold and distinct flavors of Shaanxi cuisine, featuring two local specialties: Liangpi and Roujiamo. A refreshing cold noodle dish, Liangpi blends silky, chewy noodles with a tangy sauce of vinegar, chili oil, and garlic, complemented by crisp cucumber slices and soft gluten pieces for added texture. Roujiamo, frequently referred to as the "Chinese hamburger," consists of succulent, slow-braised pork infused with a fragrant mix of spices, encased in a crispy, freshly baked bun. The contrast between the tender filling and crunchy exterior creates a satisfying harmony of textures. This meal serves as a delicious gateway to Xi’an’s rich culinary traditions, where every bite tells a story passed down through generations. Dining in this city extends beyond mere sustenance—it’s a cultural exploration in itself. With insights from your knowledgeable guide, you’ll gain a deeper appreciation for Xi’an’s gastronomic heritage, transforming your meal into a flavorful historical experience.
Later in the day, your discovery continues with a visit to the renowned Big Wild Goose Pagoda, an enduring symbol of spiritual devotion and intellectual pursuit. Highly recommended China Priate Tour agent. We had joined the group in Sep. for 7 days trip (Beijing- Xian- Shanghai) with family and friends. The hotels selected were high end hotels (4*/5*) with continental and Chinese breakfast, rooms and ambiance were perfect. Guides were knowledgeable. They would even help us with recommendations to buy souvenirs, how to bargain, and food to try. Lunch and dinner mentioned in the itinerary were high end restaurants selected with wide spread of authentic food. All in all, we loved the trip and special thanks to you for making our visit a memorable one.
Thanks to China Private Tour for the professional service extended.

I have no hesitation in recommending China Private Tour to anyone who wishes to organize a trip to this huge country. The hotels were superb. The rooms were spacious and very well equipped - we even went swimming in the hotel pool in Beijing! The meals that were organized as part of the package were all excellent in quality and quantity and we particularly appreciated being able to visit and eat in a local home. There were so many wonderful experiences on our tour that it is difficult to pinpoint the main highlights. However, being able to walk on the Great Wall and the visit to see the Terracotta Warriors were both unforgettable and magical experiences for us. Thank you so much!

Enjoyed most of the tour with China Private Tour. The itinerary was outstanding, more fun than expected and we were able to see sites that we had never anticipated in our life time. Beijing with Sunny was an excellent start to the tour. We were so excited to visited the Mutianyu Great Wall which is less busy and more wild. I felt safe and comfortable with Sunny in Beijing. Xian was also very good. Susan also has good english speaking skills, so we were able to comfortably understand what was being said to us. The hotel in Xian was very very good. The breakfast there was the best out if the entire tour. Nancy in Shanghai was unbelievably welcoming, knowledgeable, personable and efficient - a real credit to your company.
I also want to thank Sharon and Bonnie for returning all my emails and answering all my question in anticipation of this trip. We will definitely contact China Private Tour in the future for another vacation. We have provided your company's name to many people already. I believe they will be contacting for one of your tours.

Dear Lucas,
Thanks for your inquiry for our service. We sent you the details by email. Thanks!
Thanks Sam and Bonnie for organizing an amazing China trip for my husband and I in January/February 2019. We had private guides and drivers throughout our trip to China. During our holiday, we also had 2 scheduled high speed train ride with first class seating between the various locations we visited and we were delivered and picked up on time in every place.
The itinerary was excellent and well planned to ensure we saw the highlights of this area. Sam and Bonnie worked very hard to include any ideas of sites we wanted to see and their email response time was exceptional.
We especially love the hotels that they booked in advance. They were either gorgeous or conveniently located or both.
My tour guide I had in Xian David was very nice, knowledgable, and spoke English well. The dumpling dinner was great and I enjoyed the lunches I had. Our tour guide in Beijing was absolutely super! (She said her name was Lee/Li - I dont know the spelling) She was obviously experienced, mature, and very professional. Nothing was ever said to encourage us to buy anything, and she was great about getting us places before the biggest crowds hit. She was always very courteous and upbeat, and her English was fantastic.I would recommend her very highly to anyone. I liked her a great deal as a person and respected her professionalism and know-how. The Peking duck dinner was great.
All in all, muchly appreciate that level of professionalism.I couldn't have imagined myself planning every little things for such a long trip. All the tiny little stuffs would get in the way of you enjoying your trip and your yime with loved ones. We are so thankful for China private tours and will defintely recommend you guys to our friends around the world."
We want to thanks China Private Tour giving us a great China tour to Shanghai, beijing,Xian by the high speed train. We had an excellent time and really appreciate they taking care of us.
Sam and Bonnie were our trip planner. Both of them did a great job. He was very nice and took care of us. It was first rate. The tour was well-designed, very informative, professional and a lot of fun for us and the kids. This is a FANTASTIC way to see Shanghai,Beijing and Xian by the high speed train, especially for any first-timers visiting China.
All the guides were excellent. All the guides had excellent knowledge of the sites being visited and a clear enthusiasm for their work. Our guide Carol in Xian was the most enthusiastic of the 3 guides and she clearly has a great love for her country and for travel in general. She really did a fabulous job. She was very good with the kids. My highest compliments to her– She was excellent. All meals were excellent - i would specifically mention the Beijing Duck and the Dumpling dinner. All the vehicles were well kept and it was clear that the drivers (especially in Beijing and Xian) took great pride in their vehicles. China Private Tour were excellent from start to finish and made our family tour in china a very memorable one.We have memories of the trip that we will never forget!
