The construction of sports facilities for the 19th Asian Games to be held in Hangzhou in 2022 has started, announced Zhao Yide, Party secretary of Hangzhou, at the natatorium site of Hangzhou Olympic Center on Sunday.
Altogether 33 sports facilities will be constructed in Hangzhou, including five new facilities, seven functions under construction, renovation of 12 services, seven temporary structures and a new Asian Games village.
With the principle of “environmental friendly, intelligent, prudent and civilized,” all the facilities will be completed and handed over for operation in March 2021 in order to meet the demand of all the events of the games.
