As a die-hard traveler, my first trip to Hangzhou was absolutely amazing. Taking the high-speed train from Shanghai was a breeze—super fast and convenient, which made the start of my adventure smooth and easy.
We kicked things off with a West Lake Boat Cruise, and it was simply breathtaking. The calm waters and stunning scenery were so relaxing and set the perfect tone for the trip. After that, we explored Lingyin Temple. The peaceful vibe and deep cultural history of the place gave me a real sense of China’s rich traditions.
Then we headed to the Meijiawu Tea Plantation, which was definitely a highlight. Walking through the vibrant tea fields and learning about how tea is made was fascinating. Sampling the fresh Longjing tea in such a beautiful, tranquil setting was a real treat.
The grand finale was climbing Chenghuang Pavilion. The climb itself was a bit of a workout, but totally worth it for the view at the top. From there, the panorama of Hangzhou was stunning—West Lake shimmering in the distance, the city lights twinkling below, and the hills framing it all. The sunset view was especially magical, with the golden light casting a warm glow over everything. It was the perfect way to wrap up my visit and see Hangzhou from a whole new perspective.
This trip to Hangzhou was a fantastic experience. Each spot had its own charm, and the whole journey left me with incredible memories and a deep appreciation for this beautiful city.
