First stop for the tour is Lingyin Temple, also known as “Temple of Soul Retreat”. It is oldest and largest Buddhist temple in southeastern China. It was founded in 328 AD during the Eastern Jin Dynasty by an Indian monk. The scenic area divided into 2 parts, Peaking Flying from Afar and Lingyin Temple.
In 1961 it was listed for protection as a key provincial historical and cultural site and considered a leading center for research related to Chinese Buddhist culture.
After the temple, follow our guide through the peaceful path to the Hangzhou Buddhist College where you learn the Buddhist life and how to meditate. Upon arrival, our Master of Buddhist will meet you from the front of college and show you around the college, you will get a deep understand their daily life. After the visiting, you will follow our Master to a room to how to meditate and chant, you can also free to ask if you have any inquiry for Buddhism in China. Finally, you will join with all the monks to have a simple lunch at the college. Eating Habits also are very important in the college, No talk all use sign language. Please don’t worry about it, our Master will teacher in advance.
When you finished Buddhism culture tour, follow our guide to visit the Hangzhou Longjing Green Tea Plantation and local tea village. You will visit Meijiawu Tea Village in this tour, the village is located in the west of the world-known West Lake and it is an ancient village with a history of 600 years.
