3 Days Huangshan Hiking Tour with Hui Culture From Hangzhou by High-speed Train

Day 1 Hangzhou-Huangshan

Pick up service is from your hotel in Hangzhou downtown, our driver will take you to Hangzhou train station for your train to Huangshan. Upon arrival at the Huangshan downtown (Tunxi), you'll start the tour immediately.

Today's first stop is Cheng Dawei Museum of Abacus, built in the early 16th century, it is a special museum to show Cheng's historical contribution and abacus development history. The museum is divided into four parts: Cheng Dawei's former residence, Ancestor worship building, Data building and Guest garden. The museum has a total collection of more than 4000 cultural and historical materials. Visiting Cheng Dawei's abacus Museum, you can enjoy China's fifth largest invention and step into a wonderful abacus world.

Thereafter, you'll visit the Huizhou Culture Museum, there are six parts: Enters Huizhou, The world anhui merchants, The etiquette Huizhou, Huizhou constructs, The Huizhou art, The Huizhou science and technology; Collection here is rich, demonstrated moves many, receives the Chinese and foreign visitor hundreds of thousands of people every year.

Your lunch will be arranged at the local restaurant.

In the afternoon, pay a visit to the Hu Kaiwen Ink-stick Factory, Ink sticks produced in east China's Anhui Province are considered to be the finest in the world, and are called Hui Ink sticks. First opened in 1782 during the reign of Emperor Qianlong of Qing Dynasty, Hu Kaiwen Ink Factory is the oldest and most famous factory for Hui Ink in China, where visitors can see the whole working process of ink sticks. 

Stay overnight in Tunxi.

Day 2 Mt.Huangshan

Today, your guide will take you to the most famous scenic spot in Huangshan-Huangshan scenic area. The general itinerary today as below: Drive to Huangshan Scenic Spot ? Take cable car to Jade Screen Scenic Area ? Greeting-Guests Pine ? Lotus Peak ? Xihai Grand Canyon ? Cloud-dispelling Pavilion ? Down to the mountain ? Back to your hotel

After breakfast, you will be driven to Mt.Huangshan (1 hour). Upon arrival, you will take the park bus from the mountain foot to Mercy Light Pavilion to take a cable car up to the Jade Screen Scenic Area. After a few minutes' walk, you will reach the Greeting-guests Pine. It is the landmark landscape of Huangshan and one of the symbols of Anhui Province. Here you can spend some time taking pictures with this most famous pine trees in China, and enjoying the beautiful view of the grandiose Celestial Capital Peak.

After an hour's walk, you will arrive at Lotus Peak, Lotus peak is the highest peak of Huangshan, with an altitude of 1864.8m. There are some bridges, plank roads and viewing platform on the lotus peak, which is undoubtedly the best place for photography. Here you will have an hour to stop and enjoy your lunch.

After lunch, walk for an hour and you will arrive at Xihai Grand Canyon, because of the high altitude, when you stand on the canyon, the clouds flow like a stream from the peak under your feet, so it is also called "White Cloud Canyon". The total length of Xihai Grand Canyon is 15km. Here you can take the photo according to your own preference and within the time allowed, and feel the most magnificent scenery of Mt.Huangshan. If the weather is good enough, you will have a chance to enjoy the sunset at the Cloud-dispelling Pavilion.

Lastly, take cable car down to the mountain, drive back to your hotel.

Day 3 Huangshan-Hangzhou

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and transfer to Shexian for the architecture culture tour. Shexian is a famous historical and cultural city, the political, economic and cultural center of ancient Huizhou, and also the birthplace of Huizhou culture. It is famous for its unique regional culture and distinctive Huizhou style architecture, known as the "hometown of Chinese archways". Today, our professional guide will take you to Shexian county to visit the most representative villages and scenic spots, such as: Tangyue Memorial Archways, Tangmo Ancient Village, Huizhou Ancient Town.

Upon arrival, you will discover the Tangyue Memorial Archways first. Tangyue archway is a representative work of ancient Huizhou architecture in Ming and Qing Dynasties. It not only embodies the general picture of the basic ethics of Huizhou culture, but also includes the human history of "people-oriented" with rich connotation. Each archway has a touching story with mixed emotions and carefully designed. If you are interested, our experienced professional guide will tell you the story behind each archway in detail.

Then, move on to the Tangmo Ancient Village, Tangmo Village was rated as one of the top ten 'must see' famous scenic spots in Huangshan City. It was constructed originally in the Tang Dynasty (618-907) according to the architectural styles of that time. It reached its height of prosperity in both the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties. You will be captivated by the quiet rural life style of this particular culture, and the natural beauty that is incorporated within this famous historic and cultural village.

Have a simple lunch at the local restaurant.

In the afternoon, you will proceed to visit Huizhou Ancient Town,  Huizhou Ancient town, also known as the Shexian Ancient Town, is the birthplace of "Hui style literature", one of the three major local clique in China. There are 7 representative scenic spots, such as: Hui Garden, Xuguo Memorial Archway, Yuliang Dam, Doushan Street, Xin’an Stele Forest, and Tao Xingzhi Memorial Hall, more than 400 memorial archways. Follow your guide and immerse yourself in this charming cultural ancient town to learn more about Huizhou culture.

After the tour, drive you to Huangshan train station and return Hangzhou by train. You will be taken back to your hotel once you arrived in Hangzhou.
