Huangshan_Prvate_Tour.jpg

Firstly, you will be driven to Mt.Huangshan (1 hour). Upon your arrival, you will take the cable car to the top of the mountain at Yungu cable station. When you get to the top of the mountain, you will see the first peak - Beginning-to-believe Peak. Beginning-to-believe Peak is 1683 meters above sea level. It's said that Huang Xiyuan, a writer in Ming Dynasty, traveled to this peak from Yungu temple. He deeply realized the wonder of this peak and named it "Beginning-to-believe". This is the source of its name. Beginning-to-believe Peak is one of the best peaks for viewing pine trees on Huangshan Mountain.

After a short stay, walk about 1 kilometer to Brush Pen Peak,Brush Pen Peak is 1650 meters above sea level. Because one of the peaks is protruding and the top is bifurcated, it looks like a penholder, so it is called "Brush Pen Peak". This is its most poetic expression.

Brush.jpgBrush_1.jpg

After lunch, pay a visit to the Xihai Grand Canyon, because of the high altitude, when you stand on the canyon, the clouds flow like a stream from the peak under your feet, so it is also called "White Cloud Canyon". The total length of Xihai Grand Canyon is 15km. Here you can take the photo according to your own preference and within the time allowed, and feel the most magnificent scenery of Mt.Huangshan. If the weather is good enough, you will have a chance to enjoy the sunset at the Cloud-dispelling Pavilion.

After the visit, take a cable car down to the mountain. Then, drive back to your hotel. Our service ends.

We took the high speed train from Shanghai to Yellow Mountain. We had an amazing experience with our guide Tony. The mountain range is spectacular, and the views and crowds in early July. were perfect due to the control of Covid-19. The pictures do not do the beauty of the place justice. Tony took us to a restaurant in Huangshan after our Yellow Mountain tour that my wife and I agreed had the best food of our trip. Tony went above and beyond, staying with us until our late evening flight, speeding us through the airport and security, and even sending pictures that he had taken of us after the trip. Tony was great, and so was the tour. There were no "detours" to sites were you get harrassed to buy things like on some tours.

Go to the Yellow Mountains if you have free time in Shanghai.

Hello,

I am planning to to visit Yellow Mountain in September. I will be traveling from Shanghai, how long does it take to get there by bus. How long in advance i should book the tickets? Is there any website so I can do it online? Also how long is the bus, I found various times and I am a little confused.
From Huangshan I will be going to Hangzhou. And which way is better travelling from Shanghai to Huangshan, by train or by bus?

I do not plan on doing the hike, just visiting villages. I have about 4 days. Should I stay in Tunxi and travel from there for a day trip? My plan so far is to see Xidi and Hongcun. Any other recommendations?

Thank you!

In Shanghai South Bus Station, there are direct buses to the scenic area. The fare is CNY148. The bus duration is about 5 hours.

But the best way to travel from Shanghai to Huangshan is by train. It takes only 4 hours and costs 191RMB (second class seat) per ticket for one way.

You are suggested to book the tickets at least 2 days in advance if in travel peak season. There are websites for the online booking (ctrip). You can ask your hotel staff to help you with the booking or we can help you book the tickets online.

Your plan is good. Xidi Hongcun is worth visiting, which is the best choice for your extended trip.

My friend and I were guided by Tony in Huangshan for a whole day in the weekend. Tony was very friendly and patient and went the extra mile a few times to make our trip great so we can bring excellent memories back home. He showed us more than we could hope for, following our pace, managed to shoot amazing photos, respected our food taste, helped us negotiate with local merchands... what else to say ? If we had to do this again, we would with no hesitation and we really recomment Tony if you have to visit Huangshan. By the way, highly recommend stay one night on the summit if you have one day in Huangshan.

My wife and I visited Huangshan in mid May. and it was an amazing experience! The guidance on traveling to and from Huangshan was very helpful. When we arrived our guide Tony took us to a wonderful restaurant a short drive from the train station where the people were very friendly and the food was excellent. Our driver was courteous and his vehicle was incredibly clean and comfortable. Tony helped us arrange to store our large bags at a hotel at the bottom of the mountain and even made sure we sat on the right side of the bus to enjoy the views driving up to the cable car. The hike to the top was beautiful and Tony made sure to point out various landmarks in the mountains along the way. We took the cable down on the same day. A day tour is not enought for Yellow Mountain, if you have more time, spent one night on the summit of the Mountain. Thank you, Huangshan Private Tour, for a wonderful visit to Yellow Mountain that we will never forget.

We had an amazing experience with our guide Tony. The mountain range is spectacular, and the views and crowds in late spring (End of May) were perfect. She organized a great itinerary and recommended many local snacks. I tasted a lot with my friends. Very tasty! The scenery of the Yellow Mountain was charming and impressive. I'd like to go there again to appreciate different natural scenery in different seasons.

Hello there,

Regarding your 1-Day-Tour into the Huangshan Yellow Mountains, we have a few questions:

1. Do you think it will be feasible for us to take the first train from Hangzhou arriving in Huangshan North by 9:30am, participate in your tour and make it back to Huangshan station by 8:00pm, such that we'd still catch the last train to Hangzhou? Would that be a reasonable schedule for a weekday in mid-October?

2. How difficult is the mountain to hike? We are two Europeans of ordinary fitness but without a lot of hiking exercise.

Thanks a lot for your advice,
Sabrina and Manfred

First of all, the itinerary is reasonable. The earliest train from Hangzhou to Huangshan is G2389 (07:39), and the latest train leaves Huangshan to Hangzhou is G2386 (20:28).

Due to the limited time, you will take the round way cable car up and down the mountain. Hiking on the simmit of  Huangshan scenic area is the first stage which is good for beginner.
