Day 1 Beijing Arrival

Day 2 Beijing

Firstly, you'll visit Tian'an men Square to see the historical face of Beijing. Tian'an men Square is now the largest city plaza in the world, is the geographical center of Beijing City. It is the largest city square in the world, occupying an area of 440,000 square meters (about 109 acres), and able to accommodate 1,000,000 people at one time. Tiananmen Gate on the northern square was the site where the Chairman Mao announced the establishment of the People's Republic of China. The square is a conglomeration of splendid and beautiful flowers and the red national flag which flutters in the wind. The raising of the national flag is something which should not be missed by visitors to Tian'an men Square.

Next, you will meet the one of the world's 5 most important palaces – Forbidden City, The Forbidden City, also named the Palace Museum, shares the honor of being one of five world-famous palaces with the Palace of Versailles in France, Buckingham Palace in England, the White House in the U.S. and the Kremlin in Russia. The incomparable palace occupies an area of 720,000 square meters (177.9 acres) and has approximately 8,700 rooms. A high red wall with a total length of 3,400 meters (3,718 yards) encases the palace. The palace of Forbidden City, the most magnificent and splendid palace complex in China, was listed as a World Cultural Heritage Building in 1987. It was built in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) and the construction of this group of buildings took fourteen years from 1406 to 1420.

In the afternoon, drive about 6km to next imperial site - Temple of Heaven. The temple was constructed in 1420 during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), and was enlarged during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). It is the grandest cult architecture complex in the world and a masterpiece of the Chinese people created in ancient times. It covers 2,700,000 square meters (667 acres). Emperors of the two dynasties used to worship the heaven and pray for rich harvests, as the feudal emperors thought they were the son of the heaven. It is also one of the most brilliant ancient architectural masterpieces in China. Today, it is a pleasant place for leisure stay of walking or sightseeing, also for exploration of local culture.

After dinner, drive you to your hotel.

Day 3 Beijing

In the morning, our tour guide will meet you at your hotel and transfer you to Mutianyu Great Wall, it takes around 1.5 hours for one way.

Mutianyu Great Wall: "If you haven't climbed the Great Wall, you haven't seen China." Many of your friends who visited China before might have told you this. It is indeed an experience of life. As one of the best-preserved parts of the Great Wall, Mutianyu section of Great Wall used to serve as the northern barrier defending the capital and the imperial tombs. It's known for its beautiful surroundings - dense woods and rich pastures changing colors with the seasons of a year. Good sightseeing with nature, take photos from different places and angles so you’ll have plenty of memories you can share with your friends when going back home.

In the afternoon, the Sacred Way, affiliated with the Ming Tombs, is a main attractions arranged for you. The Ming Tombs lie in Changping County, about 50 kilometers (31 miles) northwest from the urban area of Beijing. It is actually a tomb cluster of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), including thirteen emperor's mausoleums, seven tombs for concubines and one grave for eunuchs. It was listed in the World Heritage List in 2003. Each emperor's tomb was constructed at the foot of a separate small hill, but they all share a main road called the Sacred Way.

After that, drive you back to Beijing downtown, on the way back to your hotel, you'll have chance to see the Bird's Next & Water Cube from outside. 

Day 4 Beijing-Huangshan

  • Place&Transport: Beijing
  • Today's Activities: Transferred you from Beijing to Huangshan by train, Tunxi Old Street
  • Accommodation: Three Stars, Four Stars or Five Stars Hotel(Can be customized) in Huangshan (Tunxi)
  • Meal: B,L

Check out from your hotel in the morning. Then, take the earliest train (G27) from Beijing to Huangshan (departure at 09:45am, arrive in Huangshan North Station at 15:18pm). Upon arrival, our Huangshan local guide will meet you at the exit of the train station with a sign "Huangshan Private Tour". Then, drive to your hotel in Huangshan downtown, you guide will help you check in.

After a short rest, you will pay a visit to the Tunxi Old Street, where you can find some good restaurant for dinner.

Tunxi old street is an ancient commercial street in center of Huangshan Town. The best way to know about Huangshan is to start with Tunxi Old Street. It is a well-preserved ancient and bustling pedestrian commercial street, and also the most well-preserved ancient street in China with the architectural style of the southern song and Ming dynasties. The total length is 1272 meters. The old street consists of more than 300 hui-style buildings built in different periods.

There are many museums in the old street, such as Tunxi Museum, Wanci House. There are a variety of specialty snacks, such as Smelly mandarin fish, Huangshan pancake. The distinctive huizhou architecture, under our professional guide, you will have endless harvest.

After the dinner, back to your hotel.

Day 5. Mt.Huangshan

Today, your guide will take you to the most famous scenic spot in Huangshan-Huangshan scenic area. The general itinerary today as below: Drive to Huangshan Scenic Spot ? Take the cable car to the top of the mountain from Yungu Cable Station ? Beginning-to-believe Peak ? Brush Pen Peak ? Xihai Grand Canyon ? Cloud-dispelling Pavilion?Stay overnight at the summit.

After breakfast, you will be driven to Mt.Huangshan (1 hour). Upon your arrival, you will take the cable car to the top of the mountain at Yungu cable station. When you get to the top of the mountain, you will see the first peak - Beginning-to-believe Peak. Beginning-to-believe Peak is 1683 meters above sea level. It's said that Huang Xiyuan, a writer in Ming Dynasty, traveled to this peak from Yungu temple. He deeply realized the wonder of this peak and named it "Beginning-to-believe". This is the source of its name. Beginning-to-believe Peak is one of the best peaks for viewing pine trees on Huangshan Mountain.

After a short stay, walk about 1 kilometer to Brush Pen Peak,Brush Pen Peak is 1650 meters above sea level. Because one of the peaks is protruding and the top is bifurcated, it looks like a penholder, so it is called "Brush Pen Peak". This is its most poetic expression.

After lunch, pay a visit to the Xihai Grand Canyon, because of the high altitude, when you stand on the canyon, the clouds flow like a stream from the peak under your feet, so it is also called "White Cloud Canyon". The total length of Xihai Grand Canyon is 15km. Here you can take the photo according to your own preference and within the time allowed, and feel the most magnificent scenery of Mt.Huangshan. If the weather is good enough, you will have a chance to enjoy the sunset at the Cloud-dispelling Pavilion.

Day 6. Mt.Huangshan-Xidi Village-Tunxi

The sunrise of Huangshan has always been the dream of tourists. Try to get up early in the morning to catch the magical sunrise. (But it may be affected by the weather, here is only a reference option, our guide will inform the relevant situation one day in advance).

After breakfast, you will visit Bright Summit, the second highest on the mountain and see a wonder of Huangshan - Flying-over Rock.

After the visit, take a cable car down to the mountain. Then, drive to Xidi VillageXidi Village is only about 10km from Hongcun and located 40km (25 miles) away from Huangshan Mountain.

Xidi Village was built in the northern Song Dynasty and flourished in the early Qing Dynasty, and was originally called Xichuan (West River), because of the water courses flowing west through the village. Listed along with Hongcun Village as World Heritage Sites by UNESCO in the year 2000.

The well-preserved dwellings of Ming and qing dynasties in xidi village are Hui-style buildings, and there are more than 20 historical and cultural ancient buildings in the village. Each building has a unique story, and you will be guided by our professional tour guide to understand the soul of huizhou culture. The cuisine of Xidi village is also something you can't miss. Huizhou cuisine is one of the eight major cuisines in China.
