Pick up service will be arranged at your hotel in Huangshan (Tunxi), you will find a welcome sign "Huangshan Private Tour". Then, drive about 2.5 hours to get to the Jiuhuashan Scenic Area. Upon arrival, you will be taken to your hotel in Jiuhuashan directly, the guide will help you check in and put your luggage down. Then have a simple lunch, the Jiuhuashan Buddhist Pilgrimage will start in the afternoon.
Firstly, you’ll take cable car up to Longevity Palace, also known as the "Centenary Palace", built in Ming Dynasty. The Longevity Palace is the second "body hall" in Jiuhuashan. In addition to the basic Buddhist statues, the highlight here is several intact "remains" preserved inside. It's said that it's the body that the famous monk kept after he passed away. According to Buddhism, it's the best explanation for monks to achieve good results and become immortals.
Keep going to visit the Hall of Five Hundred Arhats. In China, all the large temples have five hundred Arhats hall. Take your pious heart deep into the Arhats hall. You can see countless tourists and Buddhist believers reciting Buddhist scriptures here.
Later, take cable car down to the moutain, you will reach the Jiuhua Street, where the Incarnation Grand Hall located. It is the burying place for Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva-Kim Qiaojue.
The last stop is Huacheng Temple, Huacheng temple is built on a small hill, which can be accessed from all sides. It faces the Lotus peak to the south. Known as the oldest and leading temple of Mount Jiuhua.
Stay overnight in Jiuhuashan.
After the breakfast, take cable car up to the top of mountain. The first stop is Tiantai (Heavenly Terrace Peak) Scenic Area, at altitude of 1306 meters. Where you can see the the highest temple in Mount Jiuhua-Tiantai Temple. There is a saying goes : “You never reach Mount Jiuhua without a visit to Heavenly Terrace Peak”. Up to the temple and you will have plenty of time to have a panoramic view of the whole Jiuhua Mountain (in total 99 peaks).
Get down from the Tiantai Peak, you will reach the Phoenix Old Pine. Which looks like the flying phoenix spreading its wings. The guide will explain the myth behind it if you are interested.
After the sightseeing, drop down to the mountain. Then, drive back to your hotel in Huangshan. Our service ends.
